j9 on ipaq rx 1900 - Failed to allocate default memory space

Hello there!
I'm having a hell of a problem trying to install j9 personal profile 1.0 on a ipaq rx1900 ( windows mobile 5.0 ): after copying \lib, \bin and \examples to the J9\PPRO10 directory I tryied to run j9.exe and the following error appears:

JVMJ9VM013W Initilization error in fuction j9gc23(5): Failed to allocate default memory space
JVMEXEX013E Internal VM error: Failed to create Java VM

any clue?
any step I miss?
