J9 help require

I developed earlier a application NSICOM Creme but the project requirement changed and we shifted our VM to IBM's J9 so now i have to port my application to J9 .
So i Want to know wat all things do i Require to port it and how to start.
which java version do it need(as Creme is jdk 1.3 compliant)
i m using dell axim x500 .do j9 comes with any emulator so tht i can test app before tranferring it to actual device.
and for development if there is any other SDK particluar to J9 how to get it...?
the things which i have done till now are
Downloaded Trial verision for j9
installed it on device
try to run my app directly without changing anything in my app though it give tonnes of exceptions lmy app is Swing based and by exception i came to know tht it doesnt have any swing in it so...guys help me out
i need urgent help...please help me to resolve this issue.
