J2ME and J2SE

Hello.

I want to install J2ME 1.0.4 and I installed J2SE 1.4.1 already. I installed them on winME PC w/o problem. But, whenver I install J2ME on winXP, the PC crashed and restarted. What is the problem?

I found that J2ME on winXP is not tested, but it should be backward compatible with win2000. What does that mean? Does it mean winXP is not supported?
