J000 background process

user097815Oct 9 2008 — edited May 12 2011
Hello all,

Got a page saying the box was consuming lot of memory. So i looked up the top activity and found out one of the SID is eating up the box. And future diggin found out it was the " J0000 " process that was eating up that memory. I also see the SID(1007) also have some DML,transactions locks on object name
WRI$_ADV_SQLW_STMTS

I dont want to kill this process as this a oracle background process. Any suggestions ?? Also one of the query that used to run for couple of sec now takin over 3+ mins....and i am thinking this might related to this issue that i am saying.. This is a RAC box....10G on AIX..

Here is the PID, SID and other stuff out of database.

614854 1007 54450 SYSTEM oracle oracle@XXXXXXXX (J000)
