Item conversion

Hi All,

Iam totally new in conversions.Need your help.My requirement is that i have to migrate data from an excel sheet into a staging table and then into MTL_SYSTEM_ITEM_INTEFACE and MTL_ITEM_CATEGORIES_INTERFACE from there populate into the base tables .This conversion is in R12.
