Issues with Viewer 4i since DST

Michael Armstrong-SmithMar 12 2007 — edited Mar 15 2007
Hi everyone
One of my clients is reporting an issue with Discoverer 4i since upgrading their JInitiator for Daylight Saving Time and I was wondering if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

Everything is running fine when they start the application ( running on Redhat 4.0, with an Rdbms of 9.2.0.5, and E-business suite 11.5.9), including Discoverer viewer 4i.

However, after they have been running for a while ( maybe 2 hours, maybe 5 hours... it varies), suddently, the Discoverer Viewer 4i stops with :

"Locator unable to start session PRODSERVER_9000OracleDiscovererSession4. - Hint: An administrator can further diagnose connection problem by running the "checkdiscoverer"..." error.

At this point no one can run any report through Discoverer Viewer4i. There does not appear to be a problem with Discoverer Plus. JInitiator was upgraded from 1.1.8.16 to 1.3.1.9.

Best wishes
Michael
