As of late, i've been attempting to give my emulated Solaris installation a somewhat easier interface by using two GNOME extensions: Dash-to-dock and ArcMenu. Manual (?) installation of dash-to-dock was at least easy, but manually installing ArcMenu somehow never worked for me, so i decided to try and use make on it to to a “harder” install, i was able to succeed with the help of the current author of ArcMenu; but now the most major blocker i'm stuck on is getting the settings of ArcMenu to work.
As it stands, the settings of ArcMenu depend upon a new version of libAdwaita not included with the Solaris CBE IPS repositories as of now (ArcMenu-settings needs libAdwaita v1.4+, the version of libAdwaita shipped/(included in the repos) with Solaris is v1.3.6).
As this is a package related question/issue, i'll shall leave it up to the internal IPS CBE packagers to update libAdwaita to V1.4; as for the packagers themselves, i have a question to them: are there any blockers to updating libAdwaita to V1.4 or above? I'm just merely curious.
