Issues running multiple forms sessions in different browsers

We run an Forms 10g application and our end users can use either IE, Firefox or Chrome to access the applicaton from windows clients mostly. The thing we've found recently is that in Firefox and Chrome if you tie up a forms session with a long running query then any other forms sessions open in the same browser are also unusable until the query in the busy session finishes. We don't see the same behaviour in IE, in this browser we can open multiple sessions and they don't seem to interfere with each other.
Is there anything that can be done in Firefox or Chrome to make them act more like IE when it comes to running multiple forms sessions?
