Issue with SYS Privileges

440807Jan 3 2007 — edited Jan 3 2007
RDBMS Version: 10g
Operating System and Version: Windows Server 2003
Error Number (if applicable): VTO-2014, VBO-1508, ORA-29900, ORA-06540, ORA-06553
Product (i.e. SQL*Loader, Import, etc.): Oracle 10g Enterprise Manager Console
Product Version: 10.1.0.2.0

Hi,

For some reason, after adding some 'roles' and 'privileges' to SYS schema on the Enterprise Manager (java console) on Oracle10g database, the EM raises the below errors whenever we try to create users using "Create Like". Creating users using just "Create" seems fine.

Looks like the SYS schema got corrupted..Not really sure what happened. Unfortunately, this is a production database and hence needs to be fixed pretty quick. I would really appreciate if any of you familiar with this issue can guide me.

If problem cant be fixed without a reinstall, is there a way we can just restore the SYS schema as it was installed?

Any other work-arounds?
