I opened a ticket with oracle regarding this, but I was wondering if anyone's seen this and/or had any suggestions. Oracle's busy asking for every log from every server as usual, so it's going to be a while. I'll still never understand why they need our essbase logs for an HFM/Smartview issue...
Anyway, we’ve found that when doing a Zoom-in to Base on a Parent.Child entity, the original entity is removed from the selection(even when the check box to retain it is set in Smartview options). So if we zoom in on PARENT.CHILD to base, CHILD gets removed entirely. This same thing doesn’t happen if there’s no parent in the entity name. So if it’s just CHILD, zoom in to base works fine.
Zoom in to All Levels works… but if you do it on a PARENT.CHILD name, it will actually strip out the Parent and convert it to just CHILD. Normally that’s not a huge deal, but if you’re using values like [Elimination] it can break your parent line.
We’re on HFM 11.1.2.4.204 and have confirmed this on Smartview 11.1.2.700 and .701
Is anyone else experiencing this?
