I am having difficulty understanding how security assignment works in PBCS. Any help will be really appreciated.
I want to assign read access to the Version dim member 'Final' to a particular group.
I have given the user the 'Power User' role. So its by default added to the power user group.
In dimension editor, I assigned read access to member 'Final' to the group 'Power User' in the Version dimension :
But when I go and check in SmartView, the member Final is still writable. I tried to create a new group in 'Access Control' and tried to add the same user and give read access to the member and assign to the group. But still the member has write access. I tried giving the user only the 'User' role instead of 'Power User', but the issue is still there? What am I doing wrong here? Is the security set up on Cloud different that on-prem? Kindly help if possible. Many thanks.
