iscsi persistent binding

833783Jan 24 2011
1. Is it necessary to make persistent binding entries for iscsi disks? If yes how to do it. If no how the disk binds to the same c#t# for every reboot?

2. I have configured disk access through s/w iscsi initiators. I am able to see the controller c2 using format command but not through cfgadm. Can some one explain this behaviour? Also if I wan't to unconfigure the c2 do I need to use cfgadm or iscsiadm command?

3. What is the best practice to remove a iscsi disk ? I was getting a "disk in use" message when I tried the "iscsiadm remove static-config" command eventhough the disk wasn't having any filesystem.
