iSCSI in a Zone

807559Aug 19 2004 — edited Feb 27 2006
As much as I hate the idea of NAS, and then compounding that by doing block storage over a network ala iSCSI, it is suited to a certain extent to Zones if properly implemented. I thought I'd give it a shot, but have had limited success thus far. Has anyone given it a shot yet? I'm using the Cisco Initiator v3.3.5.

I've gotten so far as to actually get the iSCSId running and attached to a device, however at this point you need to create the devices themselves and here in lies the problem.

# devfsadm -v
devfsadm: open failed for /dev/.devfsadm_dev.lock: Permission denied

Any route around this, minus the obvious solution of setting up all the devices and doing the management in the global zone and then mounting them inside non-global zones?
