Is there in PL/SQL some facility to get list of files in a directory?

Suppose we have a DIRECTORY in Oracle (that can be seen in ALL_DIRECTORIES). Is there some facility to get the list of files in that directory?

I'd so much like to have a pipelined function that could return the list of files in a directory, preferably with their attributes also.

In 11g utl_file shows nothing that can help. Is there anything in more recent versions of Oracle database?
