I was wondering if there was any way connected users could be sent a broadcast message. Something like "Please log-out. Maintenance about to start", something along those lines ?
The production environment we use is runtime only, so we cant use any application based functionality directly, unless there is an associated package. I vaguely remember a APEX table that can be used to display a maintenance message, say before a deployment.
