Is the Java Certification Worth Doing?

I have a little over two years of hands on Java (plus education), under my belt and I'd like to know if it's worth my while to take the Certification test?

Also, wondering if Sun plans to obsolete the 310-035 test in the near future? Was it replaced by the 055?
