Is the following possible in OBIEE

Sid_MiddlewareJun 16 2011 — edited Jun 20 2011
I have a requirement: that runs like this - There r four dimensions (let's say d1, d2, d3, d4). There are also measures like m1, m2, m3, m4. I have got a requirement that a OBIEE report needs to be produced that has d1 columns at the left, one of (d2, d3 and d4) at the top i.e. across, m1 measures should be displayed across while at the end, total of m1, m2, m3, m4 will be displayed at the far right. Required format is like this:

d2(val 1) d2(val 2) d2 (val 2) d2(val 3) .......... d2 (val n) ..........
m1 m1 m1 m1 m1 Total m1 Total m2 Total m3 Total m4
d1 val 1 123 456 23 89 7 598 650 900 302

Total ...............................................................................................................

We created pivot table with all these measures and dimensions. The problem is that at the across level, we are getting all four measures instead of one. Things we have tried already:
1) Trying to hide the column with a custom CSS property, it hides the totals and then fails to hide the label for drill across measures. Even if it works, downloading the report would bring in all measures anyway.
2) We tried to turn off totals and bring in a new calculated measure to supply the totals. But calculated measure dialog box does not allow us to hide details for some measures and allow details for other measures.
3) We can not think of any RPD level trick because this appears to be purely presentation side issue.

Please help!!!
