Is Solaris 8 be able to installed on Asus P4 B266 (not B266-C)

Hello experts out there,

Is any one knows what is the difference between M/B "Asus P4 B266" and "Asus P4 B266-C"? The C model is on the Sun's Hardware Compatibility List 10/01 and B266 is not. Does any one know if I can use Asus P4 B266 in stall Solaris 8 in order to use Oracle 8.1.6?

Is it the only way that I have to upgrade my Genuine Intel D845WNL M/B to some other M/B on the Sun's 10/01 HCL in order to install Solaris or I can get around with it by using the Solaris 8 new release (I heard a friend said there is a new one for P4, can somebody please tell me the URL to download?)

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated?

Here is My PC Configuration:
Genuine Intel D845WNL Mainboard (Sound card and Ethernet card on board)
Intel P4 1.6 Mhz
256MB SDRAM
40 GB HD (7200cpm)
10X12X40 CDRW
