Is Java Web Sart test link still active ?

843802Jun 14 2004 — edited Aug 3 2004
Hmmm.. I have 1.4.2_04 on my XP-Pro system...

I click the link to see if Java Web Start is on my machine & working...

"To test whether your browser can launch an application using Java Web Start, click this...
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorialJWS/uiswing/14start/example-1dot4/HelloJWS.jnlp"

as instructed at... http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/14start/compile.html

But it doesn't seem to find the test page...

I get. - Java Web Start - Invalid Argument
An error occurred while launching/running the application.
Category: Invalid Argument error
Could not load file/URL specified: C:\Documents and Settings\Will\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files\Content.IE5\W5ANK16Z\FormattedTextFieldDemo[1].jnlp

1 - How can I find out if Java Web Start is working on my PC?
2 - Anyone know what the problem may be & how to fix it?

thanks for any help. - Will
