Is it possible to use more than one version of an ODBC driver?

I am trying to install an ODBC driver for 10.2.0.4 to test some 3rd party software against a new UTF-8 version of our database. The install wants me to change my TNS_admin and oracle_home settings, but I still need to connect to our older production versions of the database--I'm concerned changing these will cause problems connecting to the older databases and using the other oracle software I have on my machine like Jdeveloper and Oracle Forms, etc. Any thoughts?
