Is it possible to use local fs on VM Server for repository purposes

tomislakDec 1 2015 — edited Dec 7 2015

Hi,

I'm new with OracleVM. I managed to install VM Server 3.3 and VM Manager on Oracle Linux 6.7. I've discover  Server on Manager.

I do not have any additional stortage for this "test" use of OracleVM infrastructure. I only have one local disk on Oracle VM Server on

which dom0 is installed, but there is a plenty free space on this disk.

I've managed to find only this post ( Is there any way to setup server pool on local physical disk ? ), where is mentioned that:

If this is purely for testing purposes, you could use NFS from Dom0 to Dom0. This is massively unsupported and highly unrecommended,

Those was in version 3.0.3. Is there any news regarding using part of a local disk for reposytory purposes?

Is there any other options?

Regards
