Is it OK to -ignorePrereqs when doing Oracle client installation on LINUX 64bit

user632098Nov 6 2013 — edited Nov 6 2013

I am doing installation of oarcle 11.2 client  on redhat enterprise linux 6.3.. I downloaded x86-64 zip file.

Now when I run runinstaller it fails in checking prerequisites such as kernel parameters, swap space, some pacakges.

I then did installation runinstalller -ignoreAllPrereqs

everythig succeeded, no errors duing linking etc.

I did a test with sqlplus and I can connect look at tables etc without any problem.

Should I assume my installation is OK or do I hav eto satisfy those pre requesites.
