Is Bouncy Castle PBEWITHSHA256 using PBKDF2?

I was planning to use Bouncy Castle's PBEWITHSHA256AND256BITAES-CBC-BC for a passphrase based encryption scheme. However, I was wondering if that ensures that I use PCKS#5 v2.0 (PBKDF2), or if it somehow use an older PKCS#5 algorithm. Anyone know if PBEWITHSHA256 uses PBKDF2?
