Is 99 %CPU usage a normal occurrence for XE on linux???

Hello,

We've been trying out XE for a month now on production on a 1 P4 machine with 2GB of RAM. Although it had been seemingly smooth for about a month we did get complaints about slow response. Apparently an Oracle process creeps up to 99 %CPU usage after a couple of hours of having restarted the server.

We have a very simple dashboard along with a mobile app that together might be used by about 10 people concurrently.

Can someone suggest some way of going about diagnosing the cause of this?
