Is 32-bit JDK stilll supported ?

B.DelméeSep 23 2020 — edited Sep 24 2020

For years i have been using a 32-bit JDK with sqldev for substantially lower memory consumption, and it used to work fine.

Now (19.4 & 20.2) that does not seem to work reliably anymore.I am on windows 10 and have tried several JDKs:

- jdk1.8.0_192

- jdk1.8.0_261

- zulu jdk8.0.265

All seem to work OK at first, then behaviour starts degrading - some keyboard shortcuts or menu entries stop responding, contextual menus invoked by right-clicking appear at random places instead of under the cursor, cannot close the application anymore ...

Perhaps the problem is compounded by running under citrix (yet vanilla sqldev with 64-bit JDK works just as expected)

Previously i was stuck in WIn7 (also citrix) / sdqldev 17.4 and JDK 32-bit was no issue.
