iPhone access through Safari, "cannot open page because too many redirects"

Hi,
I'm putting together a demo application using Apex and jQuery mobile, it works fine on my iPad but when I try to access either the application directly or the Apex builder homepage from my iPhone, Safari returns a message "cannot open page because too many redirects"

Has anyone seen this before?
