IP Camera include to application

haukegJul 16 2012 — edited Jul 18 2012
Dear readers,

I have an IP Camera installed in my house and in my house controll application I want the video feed be included. The problem is, that I need to go to a website in order to see the stream. On that page I can also change settings from the camera, but I just need the video feed. So I asked the company and they told me, I can use this URL to see only the video:

http://IP.ADDRESS.OF.CAMERA/videostream.cgi?user=gast&pwd=

Well that works. But is there a way to show that video inside my swing application? The application is based on swing because it is a little bit older and I don't want to change everything right now. But I also included an MP3 player based on JavaFX and that worked great. So I thought that probably JavaFX has something like a browser component.

Greetings,
Hauke
