IO Error PKIX path building failed: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

I'm using SQL Developer Version 24.3.1.347 to connect to Oracle database using TNS connection type. Preferences for Database>Advanced>Tnsnames Directory is set properly. I only get the error when connecting to a particular database; other databases connect just fine. Please assist.
