invalid compressed data--format violated

359934Apr 9 2003
I downloaded the product:

Oracle9i Database Release 2 Enterprise/Standard Edition for Intel Linux

and this message occurs when I try to decompress the file:

lnx_920_disk2.cpio.gz (588,798,999 bytes)

using the commands:
% gunzip lnx_920_disk2.cpio.gz
% cpio -idmv < lnx_920_disk2.cpio.gz

according to the instruction reported in the otn web page.
This error only occurs for the 2nd disk file.
File size is the same in my local dir and in the web page.

Is this a otn problem or mine?
May anyone check the file intergrity from the other side with the command:

% gunzip -tv lnx_920_disk2.cpio.gz

Thank you.

These are my program versions.
GNU cpio version 2.4.2
gzip 1.3.3 (2002-03-08)
