Interpretation trace file contents

LauryJun 6 2016 — edited Jun 9 2016

Hi,

I have an Oracle RDBMS 1gR2 SE.

In oneof the trace files, I have this entry:

..

frmt: 0x02 chkval: 0x8e07 type: 0x00=unknown

Hex dump of corrupt header 4 = CORRUPT

...

Does header=4 means file#=4?

Does  V$DATABASE_BLOCK_CORRUPTION deals only with physical block corruption or also logical block corruption?

Thanks by advance for any explanantion.

Kind Regards
