internal logic failure failed to add node

638910May 13 2008 — edited May 29 2011
Please help this is my first RAC install and after struggling for days to get this far I am getting the following error message from either rac (other node added where applicable) when I try to start or enable o2cb on a 2 node 10g R2 RAC. the OS is RHEL linux 4 AS.
I have checked the cluster.conf file and ocfs2console is showing the details of hosts. Changes have been propogated and communication is fine on all NICs.

/etc/init.d/o2cb start
Starting O2CB cluster oracle: Failed
Cluster oracle created
node rac2 added
o2cb_ctl: Internal logic failure while adding node rac1

./o2cb enable
Writing O2CB configuration: OK
Starting O2CB cluster oracle: Failed
Cluster oracle created
node rac2 added
o2cb_ctl: Internal logic failure while adding node rac1

Stopping O2CB cluster oracle: OK

It appears as if the node from where I am configuring o2cb is causing an error but I can't work out why. The node name is also it's host name (since there was an error stating 'none of it's nodes were considered local' when using any other name) could this be the cause?
