Intergrating Oracle with Microsoft Active Directory(A few questions)

Is it possible to integrate Oracle with Microsoft Active directory without using Oracle Internet Directory or Oracle Application Server.

I've read a white paper (Using Oracle with Microsoft Active Directory Sep 2004) and it appears to suggest this is possible.

I understand that I need the Windows Native Authentication(WNA) Adaptor which is provided by oracle.

In which product suite does this reside or is it available as a stand-alone-download?

The intension would be to use Native Authentication with both XE and Oracle 10,11 Standard Editions.
I'm also trying to find out if there are any licensing costs or restrictions to using this with XE
