Intercompany Elimination using Hyperion Planning

I am embarking on a project where we are loading monthly P&L actuals into Planning and need to write business rules to eliminate inter-company sales activity.

In addition to my own past experiences with this, I was looking to see what approaches other developers have used when dealing with this type of task. Did you do this only in the accounts dimension or did you create elimination entities, similar to an Enterprise or HFM model? Did you use UDA or Attribute dimensions to designate inter-company activity? etc.
