Interactive Report Search - escape ampersand (&)

APEX 4.0.2

Example -
In IR if we search for 'AT&T' we don't get any results even if a few rows have AT&T.
Search for 
'AT&T'
, we'll get the results. Save with filters.

Is there any way we can escape special characters before adding the filter.
sys.htf.escape_sc this function would do that.

I tried to add it in DA by setting the value of apexir_SEARCH, but failed.

Please Suggest !!!
