the textarea in an IG is working fine, as long as the row is not read only. The textarea is used to enter a description and might contain more than 1000 (up to 4000) chars. As long as the row is editable, the text area is expanded as soon as the user enters the column.
But if the row is read only - the style of the textarea is changed. The content isn't loaded completely and the user doesn't get any chance to read the content.
How do you solve this? A “popup” on hover over will not work by design, as the control doesn't contain the entire text content. This is getting cut off by the apex framework.
