Integration with Viewpoint - Bonds tracking

Jenny HassellApr 15 2025 — edited May 8 2025

Affects the Compliance Manager Role

There is a box in Viewpoint in the PM Subcontracts module that says “Perf and Pmt Bond Required”.

Our company originates documents in Viewpoint, and we need to “check all the pertinent boxes” at the time of Subcontract ORIGINATION. But it takes an hour or so for Textura to pull a subcontract from Viewpoint, and this is only an issue because Textura does NOT pull over some of the other information we need, i.e., are bonds required, are joint checks required. It is most efficient when I can enter that information immediately upon integration of the document.

I need Textura to read my Viewpoint box as “required" or “not required” and if the box is not checked, I need the Bonds status to be “not tracking” in Textura. If the box is check and bonds are required, I would like Textura to read it and mark the Bonds status as “Not received.”

This is from Viewpoint PM Subcontracts to Textura Compliance “View Document Status” or “Edit Document Status”.

Also, if the box in Viewpoint is checked and bonds are required, I would like the Textura “When Expired or Missing” column to read “payment will not be held” or whatever.

The business impact of this to my organization is that bonds tracking will be accurate. It will affect the entire Admin and Accounting Department, and thus, the whole company because if bonds are not received and tracked because Textura couldn't read the information from Viewpoint, then we could end up in a legal and financial quagmire.

The time and cost savings of implementing this measure would be immeasurable.
