Instance doesn't autostart after reboot

347935Mar 4 2004 — edited Mar 8 2004
Hi

I've installed Oracle 9.2.0.4 (9.2.0.1 plus patchset) on a Windows XP Professional (SP1). Tha hardware is not Intel but AMD.

After succesful installation of software, I create an instance with dbca utility, and starts O.K.

I check that I can start and shutdown this instance with cmd sqlplus, sqlplusw and OEM. Everything is O.K.

After rebooting the instance is not properly started and I get these messages:

ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist

I can start the instance manually and everything goes O.K. but never get the instance started after the reboot.

I've recreated the database twice and reinstalled the software from scratch but the same result.

I did the same in anonther P4 machine with W2K (SP4) and everything went smoothly.

Any help would be very appreciated, since I can't change the client's machine.

Regards and thanks in advance.
