Installing Solaris 8 on a DELL Latitude CPx
807559Oct 18 2000 — edited Jun 25 2001after the configuration utility, displays a message telling that a conflict resource error has happened, and that it will add the devices..
That's one error... but the instalation continues, apparently without any problem, and then when it displays for creating a new partition with fdisk, the keyboard does not respond and when I typed "y" for using fdisk, it display "qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq...." over and over... and the laptop freezes out.
It does not recognize the PCMCIA card bus, but recognizes all the rest, like DVD, USB ports, PNP, etc.., but this machine it is not on the HCL either...
There is a huge dell users in mexico that want to use Solaris on they're laptops... is there some plan for supporting DELL Latitude Laptops ??...
