installing PO8i and developer6i

Hello
I have been trying to install PO8i(8.1.5) and developer6i(forms and reports) on my system.My OS is ME and i am having problems installing it.
If the Database works then the there is no connectivity from the forms.
I would APPREICIATE if any one can take some time and eloborate on how to install these step by step.
Please do help me in this issue since i am a newbie for this...
