installing oracle linux from usb on laptop

invatacelulAug 31 2015 — edited Sep 4 2015

Hello,

I am trying to install Oracle Linux 5 or 6 to my laptop which has dual core cpu 2GHz and 2 GB RAM.

When I use a dvd which contains linux 6 it refuses to boot from it and it shows some led(which I believe are related to some hardware malfunction or heating, or something else).

The dvd works on other desktop computer...

So, I downloaded Oracle Linux 5 and burn it to an USB Stick 16GB as FAT32.

My laptop boots fine from it, but after I select English and keyboard it ask me to select installation media: CD-ROM, FTP, HTTP, NFS or HDD.

I tried CD-ROm, but it finds that no CD-ROM is inserted(I use USB Stick). HDD also doesn't work.

Can you please advice me what should I do.
