Installing Oracle database on Solaris 8

807559Jan 13 2003 — edited Jan 21 2003
Hello,
I would like to knowif the Oracle database, which comes
bundled with Solaris 8, is already setup in it's own
directories, or do you have to create a filesystem on a
unassigned slice, mount it, create the home directory,
which, I believe, Oracle suggests to use the OFA,
using mkdir? Also, would the super-user automatically
have sysdba priviledges once he/she logs on the database?
Thanks.
