Installing Oracle database 11g Release 2 (11.2) on windows 7 32 bit OS

user5149250Aug 30 2016 — edited Sep 2 2016

Hello Team,

morning , need one assistance with installing the Oracle database 11g Release 2 on windows 7 - 32 bit operating system

1.from the oracle edelivery site downloaded the files - V20605-01_1of2.zip and V20605-01_2of2.zip and unzipped all the files to one common directory location

D:\Oracle11gR2\database

Executed the setup.exe file --> finally in the end got some ocx.dll file register error for windows 7 system.

Because of this had to abort the installation process in between. is there a way this error could be resolved with the ocx dll file registration..

means what all needs to be checked for this..

2. 2nd question is there a way i could uninstall what all components and files had been installed and copied..

i could see lot of sub folders and files got copied to this location - ( this location i had selected as the Database Home location ) -

D:\app\user1\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1

How could i cleanly un-install and remove all these files and components in order so that clean install could be attempted again.

with regards
