Installing Oracle Client for Connecting TOAD

Hi,

I have installed Oracle Client on the same computer but i am not sure what path i have to set so that it is installed.

Secondly i have never used "Net Configuration Assistant" or edit TNSNAMES.ora files . So if possible can you give me some guidelines..
