installing Oracle 8i on RHEL 3

I am new to installing oracle on linux.
Could somebody please tell me what would be the preinstallation requirements for Oralce 8i on RHEL 3.
I came across the preinstalling requirements for oracle 8i on redhat linux 7.3 at the following link

but could not find any information about RHEL 3.

I also came across information that there are known issues of the GLIBC versions when installing Oracle 8i on a newer version of Linux. If someone could comment on that also, i would be very grateful...
