installing oracle 8i on Pantium 4 machine

I bought a new pentium 4 machine having configuration p_IIII 1.8 , 256 ddram and windows 2000 service Pack 4. I am trying to install oracle 8i database (8.1.7) release on the machine . The CD starts but no installation take place. Please provide me with a solution.
