Hi everyone, for some reason, the program Oracle is not working for me. The first time I tried installing Oracle on the 18th, everything seemed to go along smoothly, but I tried to open the setup exe, and for some reason, I am unable to use the program, because it states that, "INS-13001 Oracle is not supported on this operating system." It won't be able to let me use the program, and when I say that I want to try to continue anyway, the next message that I get is "INS-30131 Initial setup required for the execution of installer validations failed." When I tried to use the help button on the bottom left corner of the program screen, the message "[INS-00008] Help topic not found." shows up.
I thought that there was something wrong with the data or something, because even though I downloaded the Oracle 12c Release 2 package, I still received that message. After that happened, I tried deleting the entire folder and download the program again, thinking that the reason why the download wasn't working was because something happened when it was downloading, and re downloading it would fix it., but every time that I did, the database program took an hour or two longer to download than the last time.
I am currently using an hp laptop. The OS is a Windows 8.1, 64-bit operating system. (x64-based processor) Further, the processor is an Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N3520 @2.16GHz.
