Installing Oracle 11g on Windows 10 home - Can't run setup.exe file

user2363269Dec 13 2017 — edited Dec 18 2017

I want to install oracle11g in a desktop machine with windows 10 home, because in laptops with the same windows version I have not had problems.

The device has a corei7 processor with 16 gb RAM and 3.5 tbytes disk space, the size of the virtual memory managed by the system is 2929 MB.

I can not run the setup.exe file, it momentarily displays the first installation preparation screen and it does not continue, this screen appears for a few seconds....then it disappears:

When reviewing the .log file it shows the following:

Checking monitor: must be configured to display at least 256 colors. Actual 256 Passed

The number of files bootstrapped for the jre is 0.

The number of files bootstrapped for the oui is 0.

I have modified the size of the virtual memory to 4096 MB, 8192 MB and to 16384 MB, I tried to change the compatibility in the properties of the setup.exe file, running it as an administrator, in 8-bit color mode (256) disable scale adjustment ... several combinations without success.

I tried with oracle12 and the same error happens. Could you please help me?

Thank you and regards
