Installing New EPM Products after the .500 patch

Hi All,

We have a working 11.1.2.3.500 environment and now the requirement is to install a new EPM product. I have gone through the doc 1997473.1 but still have a question. We have decided to procure a new server, Install the base version 11.1.2.3 (instead of rolling back what is already patched).

My question is are we supposed to configure the new product after patching to 11.1.2.3.500 on the new server or can we configure the 11.1.2.3 version against the 11.1.2.3.500 version of shared services and then patch?
