Installing Multiple Instances on a Single Box

What is the easiest way to do this, if each of the instances need to run on the standard web ports(80, 443)?

For instance, both BPEL PM and Discoverer need to have their own app servers - apparently they cannot coexist within the same instance.

Can you install one instance(eg Discoverer AS), then shut down the web server/web cache, and then switch the host file around to install the second(ie BPEL PM)? Has anyone done something similar to this, or is there a better way?
