Installing Linux 4 on ACER Aspire 4720Z Laptop

Hello everyone out there,

I am installing Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 on my new ACER Aspire 4720Z Laptop.
All installation procedures were followed and the installation completed successfully.
However when I rebooted after the installation, as instructed by the installer, the system hung after the following message:

PCI: Fail to allocate mem resource #0:10000@88000000 for 0000:04:00.0

Starting udev:
Initializing hardware.... storage network

I am stuck and I need the installation urgently as I am working on a development project on linux.
